Director of Admissions
Katy serves as the Admissions Director for Balboa Horizons. She has almost 12 years’ experience in working in the substance abuse field in roles ranging from Admissions Director to Financial Administrator, Insurance Administrator, Business Development, and Program Director.
Responsible for overseeing the admissions department, screening and assessment of prospective clients, coordination of admissions, verification of benefits, appropriate client intake and maintaining relationships in the community, Katy is passionate about helping others find their path to recovery and assisting them through the process.
Katy believes an essential piece of recovery is finding out who you are, and being the best at it.
Online Marketing Administrator
As an online marketing administrator for Balboa Horizons, Marvin is responsible for overseeing all online marketing initiatives. Whether he is developing brochures, editing the Balboa Horizons website, or managing social media, Marvin loves being able to bring a Balboa experience to each individual.
Marvin holds a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and Master’s degree in Communications from Ithaca College. Marvin helps build Balboa Horizons online reputation through ethical search engine optimization and content creation for Balboa Horizons online presence. When he isn’t helping families or writing content he can be found at the beach with his three children surfing the waves of Orange County.
With over eight years of marketing experience, Marvin believes in the process and loves to see the change individuals and families go through on their journey of recovery.
Lacy serves in admissions for Balboa Horizons, coordinating each new client arrival. Her responsibilities include one-on-one interaction with clients upon their arrival to Balboa, walking them through the intake process, as well as a formal orientation.
She educates the newly admitted client with what they have to look forward to and all that Balboa Horizons has to offer.
Lacy believes an essential part of recovery is gratitude. She believes everyone deserves a second chance, and is very grateful for hers.
