International Overdose Awareness Day
Every year on August 31 people around the world will gather together to remember loved ones who died from an opioid overdose. Throughout the United States, the opioid epidemic has claimed
numerous lives. August 31 is a day for celebrating those we have lost. While we can’t bring our loved ones back we can educate others on the dangers of opioids.
International Overdose Awareness Day starts with you. Let’s help increase awareness and break the stigma of addiction in our communities by telling the stories of our loved ones. Together we can create change, together we can recover. If you have lost a loved one to overdose please consider adding their name to the map https://losttoopioids.nsc.org/index.html
