We realize you’ve probably never met us. You might not have ever been to California, and you likely have a lot of questions about what happens next. Please call us at (866) 316-4012—we will gladly answer your questions, and do our best to help you understand what we’re all about here at Balboa Horizons.
What to Expect
Prior to admission, you will be assigned a designated admissions counselor who will guide you through the admissions process, working hand-in-hand with you and your family to answer any questions you may have before entering our treatment program.
Upon admission, you will meet with an intake counselor to go over paperwork and address any concerns you may have. Your intake counselor will ask you a variety of questions designed to help your treatment team develop an individualized initial treatment plan. An appointment with our psychiatrist will be made for an evaluation and assessment for dual diagnosis care.
You will then be given a client handbook, orientation to the facility and its rules, and shown to your room to settle in. Staff will be fully available to address any questions or concerns you may have and to make sure you are comfortably situated. You will notice that all of the staff at Balboa Horizons cares and understands how stressful beginning this process can be—they will go the extra mile to support you in this transition and seeing that your needs are met.
