Katy serves as the Admissions Director for Balboa Horizons. She has almost 12 years’ experience in working in the substance abuse field in roles ranging from Admissions Director to Financial Administrator, Insurance Administrator, Business Development, and Program Director.
Responsible for overseeing the admissions department, screening and assessment of prospective clients, coordination of admissions, verification of benefits, appropriate client intake and maintaining relationships in the community, Katy is passionate about helping others find their path to recovery and assisting them through the process.
Katy believes an essential piece of recovery is finding out who you are, and being the best at it.
As an admissions counselor, Bates has helped thousands of men and women begin the process of treatment and recovery. He works closely with families to help their loved ones overcome any barriers to entering treatment and start a new and improved chapter of their lives.
He is actively involved in the recovery community in Orange County by serving on leadership committees and a Family Recovery Group which helps relatives of those whose lives have been impacted by addiction.
Bates believes an essential piece of recovery is educating family members on how they can most effectively help their loved ones struggling with addiction.
As Clinical Outreach Manager, Heather is responsible for building longterm sustainable relationships with other treatment centers and providers, as well as attending conferences and events to educate the industry on what Balboa Horizons has to offer.
Heather holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Whitman College, including a year of study abroad in Florence, Italy. She has eight years of experience in sales and marketing, including coordinating a special election for the Lt. Governor of Juneau, Alaska, and serving as Marketing Manager for a prominent healthcare organization. She is very active in the recovery community, and is passionate about giving back to the community that has given so much to her, including volunteering for La Casa Hogar.
Heather believes an essential piece of recovery is practicing both physical and spiritual wellbeing on a daily basis.
Lacy serves in admissions for Balboa Horizons, coordinating each new client arrival. Her responsibilities include one-on-one interaction with clients upon their arrival to Balboa, walking them through the intake process, as well as a formal orientation.
She educates the newly admitted client with what they have to look forward to and all that Balboa Horizons has to offer.
Lacy believes an essential part of recovery is gratitude. She believes everyone deserves a second chance, and is very grateful for hers.
