Welcome! Balboa Horizon’s is a 90 day residential,
extended care program designed exclusively for women
who have chosen recovery from addiction to alcohol, all
other mind altering substances of abuse and self defeating
behaviors that are known to commonly co-occur. We treat
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and co-occurring
mental health diagnoses usually associated with alcohol
and drug abuse. Research indicates higher rates of addiction
or the tendency to self-medicate in individuals who have
experienced traumatic events (1).
Balboa Horizons specializes in personalized approaches
that promote deep healing from chemical dependency and
co-occurring disorders commonly associated with trauma,
or PTSD.
Balboa Horizon’s suggested 90 day program is clinically
comprehensive with a holistic approach to caring for
women. Balboa Horizons places a strong emphasis on all
of the individual parts that equal the whole person;
spiritual, biological, social and psychological. In doing
so, our program integrates interventions and treatment
modalities for each of these areas of recovery. Our Newport
Beach, California location facilitates the physical-recovery
aspects with activities such as yoga, massage therapy,
beach volleyball, biking and more. Our integrated social
interventions include group therapy, individual therapies
and a core 12 steps approach to recovery. Ask about varying
