Balboa Horizons provides a residential extended care program designed exclusively for women. We specialize in the treatment of drug or alcohol addictions, self-defeating behaviors, and co-occurring mental health diagnoses (or “Dual Diagnoses”) commonly associated with addiction including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). We believe in a personalized approach that promotes deep healing from chemical dependency and co-occurring conditions. At Balboa Horizons, we provide individualized care to each of our clients and allow women to focus exclusively on recovery by avoiding the distractions of many large-scale, co-ed facilities.

Our suggested 90-day program is clinically comprehensive with a holistic approach to caring for women. We place strong emphases on all the individual parts that make the whole woman: spiritual, physical, social and psychological. We combine a core 12-Step approach to recovery with various treatment modalities including individual and group therapies, physical activities and social recreation.
